One way epigenetics change is by DNA methylation, which are chemical tags which attach to the DNA and influence how the gene is expressed. How does epigenetics work?

Unlike genetics, our epigenetics evolve and change overtime.“Epi” means on-top-of, or around, so epigenetics is the study of what is happening on-top-of, or around, your genes. There are chemical tags called “methylation” or “markers” which attach to specific locations on top of your DNA and influence how our genes are expressed. Thus, what you eat, how much you exercise, what lifestyle choices you make, all result in chemical modifications around your genes that make up who you are today.
